From the hills of Solimbergo you descend to the plain towards Sequals, the birthplace of boxer Primo Carnera, one of the most famous Friulians to have found fame and fortune outside this once poor region where emigration used to be the norm.

Beyond Sequals is a landscape of far-reaching horizons surrounded by a few isolated forested hills.

In Lestans, stop at Villa Savorgnan and the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, frescoed by Pomponio Amalteo, a famous Friulian painter of the Renaissance and Mannerist school.

Continuing southwards through the hamlets of Vacile, Istrago and Tauriano, more charming rural churches await you before you reach Spilimbergo, a town with many medieval and Renaissance treasures, the culmination of the cultural heritage that you have seen along the Cammino.
