Marina’s diary

I go through these lands of mine slowly
to essay the potential of a path still in the making, along with a photographer, a writer, a journalist, some hiking and nature guides, and a few other pioneers.

Together we aggregate people who, along the way, create a magically swelling group.
Some stay in the facilities adhering to the “St. Christopher’s Way,” others prefer the shuttle service back to their cars.
At some highlights, volunteers and passionate storytellers of spaces and curiosities await us.
We few, we happy and many friendships born along the way along fantastic elsewhere all to be discovered.

9 days on foot in late September 2023, through the hills that overlook the Friulian plain to the right of the Tagliamento River and from which, on clear days, the view sweeps from the Gulf of Trieste to the Berici Mountains.

St. Christopher's Way, Marina Del Colle, Valeriano Spilimbergo stage.

These are the initial words with which Marina Del Colle, also known as Marinaspili (with her blog ” Marina’s Backpack”), tells us about her journey on foot along the Saint Christopher’s Way.
